My Future Business

My name is Dika Pratama, I am going to make a photography business 5 years from now. Because of my hobby is photography, So I’m going to make my hobby is my side job also my business in the future. I’m planning to build places where I can do my business like printing office for make my own photography magazine and print my own portrait poster, and photobook. I have planned to start selling  my own photography work right after I got my bachelor title, cause I don’t want to interrupt my study with my hobby. About my hobby, my parent already know it and they always let me to doing something I wanted, as long as it’s positive.

Indonesia will be my first place that I start my photography business. I am so excited about it. I was inspired by a famous photographer that I admired for a long time, his name is Brandon Woelfel, he is a professional photographer from Los Angeles, who sells his work in a book form, there’s also Michael Muller who making a lot work of photograph for Marvel studio and other comercial photography magazine he’s inspired me so much. So, after I’m starting to sell my work, I will save my money for trying to make my first ever photobook and start to promote it for create my portofolio. I’m also read or watch some video how to srtarting a small business, because I don’t get this from my college major.

My mother is the only one who really like to business in my family, so I learn a lot from her, when I choose to change my hobby to photography she is surprise, because there is no one in my big family work as photographer, I have try much things to find what I really like to do beside being a programmer, when I come to photography, I know I love it so much already and spend my times to learn to be a professional photographer, in this year I also want to get photographer certificate. I believe in the future I can grow my business better with much experience from my mom, my friends, so I will start from now, focus on my study so I can graduated on time, and learn how to grow up a business, after that try to start build my own. Besides, I’ll also looking for a job as a programmer because my photograhpy business is just a side job for me to fill my spare time, but when it’s come so great maybe it will be my main job later.
